When April and Ethan saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, they couldn’t stop the tears.

And then, after they embraced, April looked Ethan up and down and said, “I think we need to get dressed up more often. You look good!”

I think that pretty adequately sums up their relationship. Fierce, deep in love, but also lighthearted and laid back.

Those qualities are what made April and Ethan’s wedding day such a blast. Not only did they have a close-knit ceremony, they threw tradition out the window and instead of having a dance at the reception, they welcomed their guests to play yard games, sit around a bonfire, and take pontoon rides around the lake.

I mean, can’t argue with a laid back wedding like that!

But laid back certainly doesn’t mean any less lovely and beautiful. April and Ethan made a stunning couple, and the vows and toasts touched my heart.

April and Ethan certainly have a contented, loving life to look forward to it. I’m glad I got to spend this milestone in their relationship with them!

See the cake above and cupcakes below? They were made by the bride’s stepmom. And let me tell you - the cupcake I snagged as I left the wedding was one of the BEST cupcakes I’ve EVER had. The raspberry filling was divine! Since I didn’t try one until I was on my way out, I didn’t get a chance to tell Melia how much I enjoyed it. So if you’re reading this, Melia — it was amazing!
