Nathan & Paige | Chilly Downtown Fargo Engagement Pictures
Engagement pictures in downtown Fargo when it's 30 degrees? Bring it on!
That was Nathan and Paige's attitude during their engagement session this past weekend. After all, they've got each other for warmth - and that definitely seemed to be enough for these spouses-to-be, because they didn't wear jackets or hats the entire time we were out.
Sure, it was chilly outside. Luckily, we had gotten some snow a few days earlier to justify the rosy noses and cheeks. Fortunately for us, though, it wasn't so cold that we couldn't rock the majority of the engagement pictures outside!
We walked around Downtown Fargo looking for good light and complementary settings.
And while it wasn't so chilly that we couldn't spend some time outside, we did get a little numb...so we stopped into Würst Bier Hall for a drink. Nathan and Paige let me know that they both enjoy a good craft beer, so it was the perfect place to warm up! (Plus, Nathan got to catch some glimpses of the football game.)
And then we were back out into the chill, ready to explore Downtown a little more.
Want the love story? I've got you.
After all, I'm dying to tell you more about these two.
Nathan and Paige met in college. A mutual friend (shout-out to Emily!) introduced them after hearing they were from the same area.
Which was fine, except it turned out they were from rival high schools. Maybe because of that, their relationship didn't blossom immediately.
But they were both involved in sports and ended up working at each others' games...
And I'm sure, as they spent time together, Nathan and Paige started to notice some of the same things I noticed in my few hours with the pair.
Paige's eyes light up when she looks at Nathan. While talking about him, she can't help but break into a grin. And the laughter - let me tell you, we didn't go a full minute without Paige giggling and laughing with Nathan.
As for Nathan, any reservation in his eyes softens and disappears when he looks at Paige. With this woman within reach, everything is right.
Fast forward a few years, through the relationship that started, then developed, then deepened into something the two wanted to seal into place forever.
So not too long ago Nathan bought a ring for Paige, and enlisted the help of a friend (shout-out again to Emily) to coax Paige to being in the right place at the right time (and convince her to wear something nicer than sweats) so that he could drop to one knee and ask her to spend her life with him while Emily preserved the moment in pictures.
After our fun downtown, we made our way to a park for a change of scenery.
With the snow and the pine trees...gosh, all I can think is Christmas! Paige and Nathan's outfits matched the setting perfectly.
We were hoping that the clouds would break up for a pretty sunset, but after a while it was clear it would stay overcast.
Then we got to wishing for some snow...
But in the end, we didn't need snowfall for this evening to be magical.
Thank you for spending the evening with me, Nathan and Paige! I can't wait to see the two of you on your wedding day in 2018!
