Let’s kick off this Sanctuary Events Center Wedding by telling you my favorite think about Josh and Jessica: They are completely unafraid to just be themselves.
Trust me, you’ll see it in their pictures. And I LOVE it — as a wedding photographer, I can certainly put a couple in an intimate pose, but I certainly never want them to be something they’re not. I want my goofy couples to be goofy, my romantic couples to get cuddly, and my quiet couples to revel in the moment.
So when Josh and Jessica started belting out laughs and awkward stares and buckets full of smiles, I got really, really happy.
And I’m sure Josh and Jess were happy on September 14, 2018, too, because they got married!
Josh and Jess had a very intimate wedding party, with only a maid of honor and a best man. Of course, that just meant that we cruised through pictures quickly and still had a blast the whole day. A small wedding party doesn’t mean a sparse wedding. The support of the guests was palpable, filling up the huge, high ceilings of the Sanctuary Events Center.
Almost time for the first look!
Most grooms are anxious before they see their partner for the first time on a wedding day, but not Josh. He was cool as a cucumber.
And when he turned and saw Jess, his eyes lit up. “Oh, YAY!” were the first words out of his mouth before he rushed in and embraced his soon-to-be wife!
