By all accounts, Brandon and Emma were not supposed to get married in North Dakota. But COVID-19 happened and threw a wrench in their hometown Indiana wedding plans. And when Emma reached out to me just a couple months prior to their wedding to explain the situation, she was less than thrilled at the changes they’d had to make.

But, just as summer started to turn to fall in mid September, Emma and I had our last meeting before the wedding and I was pleased to find her excitedly anticipating the event. So, on September 19, I headed up to Grand Forks to photograph Brandon & Emma’s Grand Forks Country Club wedding!

With family and friends still able to travel safely and make it to the wedding, Emma seemed happy just to be around her bridesmaids. (After all, Brandon and Emma had already gotten married months earlier at the courthouse — their wedding day was simply to celebrate with family and friends!)

One detail I just HAVE to mention — Emma and all her bridesmaids are cat people. She got them framed collages of each bridesmaid’s cat as a gift. Of course we had to take photos!

Brandon and Emma had just recently adopted two cats themselves. I loved that even though the adoption was quite recent, they still incorporated their kitties into the day.
