On one of 2020’s best fall days, Ross & Faith celebrated their wedding among family and friends in Casselton, North Dakota.
Although the pandemic disrupted some of their plans and rain was in the forecast, the day came together beautifully and this stunning couple had a smooth, heartfelt wedding day!
Casselton Floral did such an AMAZING job with Faith’s bouquet and all the florals. They even threw in some scraps for me to play with for the details. (That’s a surefire way to a wedding photographer’s heart!) I loved the lush fall colors along with oak leaves and prairie grasses. Isn’t the feathery texture of the prairie grass so unique for these photos?
Once Faith and Ross were ready to go, we headed out to Casselton Reservoir for their first look, portraits, and all the wedding party photos. Through intermittent clouds and peeks of sunlight, I tried to capture the best fall foliage I could find. I think it ended up complementing Faith & Ross’s color scheme and Faith’s bouquet well!
We headed back to the church for family photos. Just before the ceremony, Faith & Ross exchanged handwritten letters to one another. I love these private moments.
This wedding was the FIRST wedding at the newly finished Martin’s Lutheran Church in Casselton. That’s a nice little “first” to tack on to the excitement of the day!
After a lovely ceremony, we all headed out to the groom’s parents’ farm for the reception. Considering the family had to completely clean out this barn in just a handful of months leading up to the wedding, they did a stellar job! If they wanted to jump into the wedding industry and rent the space out as a reception venue, they’d probably do quite well. (Especially considering the “I Do Saloon” they set up outside.)
When the sun began to set, Ross and Faith joined me outside for a few last outdoor photos. Then we rolled right into the dance, which is always my favorite way to end the night!
Cheers to a long life together as Mr. and Mrs. Radermacher! Thank you for having me as part of your day. You two are a delight!
