We have been so fortunate with a mild winter this year (let’s just ignore that week of -30 degree temps) and that means winter engagement sessions are where it’s at.

Many couples opt to wait for spring for their engagement session, but Lauren and Jeremy were up for cuddling in cold temps as soon as Lauren’s ring got back from being resized.

I LOVE photographing in the snow, and it’s even better when the weather is above 20 degrees!

Jeremy and Lauren are wonderfully sweet, and even though they were nervous for their session at first, it’s easy enough to warm up (pun intended) when they’re with each other. Seperately, Jeremy and Lauren told me that they found each other incredibly easy to be around and were more comfortable with each other than anyone else in the world. That kind of easygoing comfort makes a relationship make sense!

After taking photos at MB Johnson Park, we reconvened after dark at Viking Ship Park, where due to Fargo-Moorhead’s Frostival celebration, a tunnel of lights is aglow every night.

Prior to our session, Lauren and I thought it would be fun to take advantage of the unique setting and grab some engagement photos there, too!

With my off-camera lighting, I certainly think we made magic.

I’m so excited for Lauren & Jeremy’s wedding this summer! I know we’ll make magic that day, too!
