Fall Fargo Wedding
Jordan + Michelle
10.25.19
Jordan and Michelle got married on one of the last nice days of October and my last wedding of 2019. How lucky am I to round out the year with friends?
Something I knew without a doubt going into this wedding was that Michelle’s makeup was going to be on point. She always dons this gorgeous cat eye, and she’s a pro at the sultry look. (See Jordan & Michelle’s engagement photos for further proof).
Want to know one of my favorite parts of the day? Seeing the bride’s wedding dress. When you’re at a lot of weddings, this is one of those unique aspects that really livens up a standard job for me! Wedding dresses are each so unique, and it’s always interesting to see what a bride picks.
As soon as I took out Michelle’s dress, I knew it was HER dress. It just suits her! To be honest, though, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the cover-up/cardigan — I thought it was a shame to cover up the dress. But as soon as I started photographing the bridesmaids, I realized I’d been wrong. Those sleeves were SO fun to play with for photos…and because of them, I think I have one of my all-time favorite pictures.
Jordan and Michelle opted to skip a first look, which makes the ceremony that much more important for me as the photographer. Nothing to worry about here, though - #nailedit!
One advantage to skipping the first look, though, was that ALL of Michelle and Jordan’s full wedding party photos and pictures with just the two of them happened at golden hour. What. A. Treat!
Seriously. If every wedding day lined up as beautifully as this one, I’d be a wedding QUEEN.
I’m so thankful to Michelle’s sisters (and Nissa - didn’t forget about you!) for waiting in the chill while I spent an egregious amount of time taking photos of this wonderful couple.
Oh, and shout-out to Michelle and Jordan’s families, who waited patiently at the reception while I * cough * made us late * cough *.
But just look at these photos — it was worth it, right?! Had to catch that golden sun.
All in all, Michelle and Jordan are the kind of couple most aspire to be. I see these two in the gym, always encouraging and pushing each other. Yes, they’re quick to poke fun and tease one another. But when you see the unashamed adoration in Jordan’s eyes whenever he looks at Michelle? That’s what most people dream of in a relationship.
