I met up with Chelsey and Lindsey for a quite fall engagement session full of brown tones from our early-season winter storm. I fell in love with these warm brown tones this season - seriously, who needs those elusive red trees when you’ve got wheat-colored grasses waving in the chill October air?

Chelsey and Lindsey knocked it out of the park with their outfits. Maybe it’s just because I am head over heels with neutral tones lately, but I LOVED that they both wore black and greys, complimenting the chill fall mood. And the fact that Lindsey’s nails, Chelsey’s glasses, and both of their piercings fit in with the color scheme too? YES PLEASE.

Despite the fact that the fall color had leached away already, I think this engagement session fits the couple perfectly. When they initially reached out to me, Chelsey wrote “I collect dead things” on my contact form, where I ask for a fun fact. So that awkward period between fall and winter worked SO well for these two.

Of course, they brought Frankenstein the dog, too — a happy addition to the session, as he hammed it up for the camera and loved cuddles from his moms!

Near the end of the session, we got to play with smoke bombs and off-camera lighting, too. I’m stoked that Chelsey and Lindsey were up for experimenting a little bit. Any out-of-the-box ideas like this always get me fired up!
