Winter Experiment: Editing a Wedding in Black and White

Fargo wedding photographers hibernate in the winter, and it’s been no different for me. While I’ve been cloistered in my office, I decided to try a fun little experiment — I edited all of my favorite photos from a wedding I assisted at in black and white.

A few reasons why:
I started editing and quickly realized that most of these pictures just screamed BLACK AND WHITE. Part of that’s simply due to the style of the wedding, another part was the mood of the lighting.
It seemed equal parts challenging and fun!

To be honest, I adore the result. All of these photos were incredibly fun to edit, and I love how cohesive the day is in black and white.

Experiments are always worth the effort. Tackling a challenge, whether successful or not, always ends in a learning experience.
